About our Club

Ponteland Bowling Club was founded in 1923 and is owned by the members and run by a committee which is elected annually. We are passionate about promoting the game of bowls and offer opportunities for all members of differing ability levels, including beginners.
The clubhouse was built in 2003 and extended in 2009. It provides excellent facilities for both members and visitors. The bowling green is maintained to a very high standard and is considered to be one of the best in Northumberland. The club is affiliated to Bowls England and to Bowls Northumberland. It fully participates in Bowls Northumberland activities and other local leagues for both male and female participants across a number of league and divisions. The elected members of the club committee are committed to ensuring the club provides activity and opportunities that are relevant to the members’ needs and that the membership is provided with the training, coaching and bowling opportunities that they require. |
