Closing day 2019 was held on Thursday 12th September.   Weather was dull and overcast but mainly dry.
Play was preceded by a photo call for a successful team and individual winners.

Richard Varley was our champion this year (4 wood winner).  As a consequence he became eligible to enter the OUBRIDGE CUP - a championship of all private club's 4 wood champions.   It was Ponteland's turn to host this event on Sunday 1st September where Richard evercame all oppositions and won the Oubidge Cup.  The cup is 110 years old.

Don Burbeck, who only started bowling last year, was so successful this year either as winner or runner up in all competitions that he deserves our congratulations.

The next photo call belonged to our successful C&S1 team who won the Division 1 championship by 12 points thus retaining the top position in the league for a second year in a row.
